Green economy became a central theme in the Albanian public discourse for the year 2023, be it through the emphasis put by central- and local-level authorities to various dimensions of a circular economy, or though the numerous initiatives put forth by international cooperation and development agencies, such as EU4Innovation, EU4Schools, etc. There are several programs now being implemented in Albania, highlighting a momentum for the future integration of circular economy concepts within the country’s main sectors. The main aim is to develop innovative green products, services and business models which decouple economic growth from intensive material consumption, and stimulate green job creation; hence, aligning with economic acquis to be fulfilled by the country in its integration path.

Solutions Connecting Farmers
The “Solutions Connecting Farmers” (SCF) project represents an innovation-driven initiative, through which we are assisting two farming communities in the Municipalities of Shkodër and Vorë in Albania, in response to their needs for adaptation to conditions dictated by climate change, as well as in improving their efficiency and business model.
