In continuation of its work, the Environment Resource Center in Albania, in cooperation with the Agency of Parks and Recreation, of the Municipality of Tirana, organized on February 23, 2024, an activity with the students of the “Emin Duraku” school, sharing with them information about biodiversity and its importance, global changes and how we can increase individual problem solving skills.

Environmental Education is a process through which individuals, communities and organizations are informed about environmental issues as well as the importance of the environment, thereby increasing the level of awareness for its protection. Environmental education does not support a particular view of action, rather, it teaches individuals to have different perspectives on an issue through the application of critical thinking. Through critical thinking, the probability of solving problems increases, contributing to an effective decision-making process.

Environmental aims to achieve: Awareness and sensitivity to the environment; to convey knowledge to realize the understanding of environmental challenges; raise concern for the environment and motivation to improve its quality; creating skills to identify and help solve environmental challenges and participate in activities that lead to their solution.

REC Albania has as its primary objective the familiarization with Environmental Education, mainly in schools, aiming to strengthen environmental information and awareness for sustainable development.
