REC Albania, with the financial support of Global Environment Facility, GEF is implementing the project “Green Enterprises Led by Women in Albania, GEA”. The project aims to promote women’s micro businesses and ‘startups’ that create bio, or low carbon footprint products, through a small grant support scheme. The scheme will cover two product categories: Eco-food and Eco-products. Some activities but not only, which in the project concept are considered ‘green’, can be knitting and weaving, or embroidery, products with traditional food processing methods, etc.

To reach as many beneficiaries as possible, the REC Albania has established three financial support packages:

Package I (1,000 – 3,000) USD (includes business support for product marketing and packaging)

Package II (3,000 – 7,000) USD (includes business support for product marketing and packaging, salaries for employees, etc.)

Package III (7,000 – 10,000) USD (includes business support for product marketing and packaging, salaries for women employees, and small investments, etc.)

Planned support aims to address various needs, which apart to marketing and packaging benefits, may also contribute to the businesses with a modest financing of a value chain sequence, etc. In order to reach the target group of beneficiaries, REC Albania invites all eligible women led businesses to participate in the application process with their concept-ideas. REC Albania also invites women’s organizations in Tirana and districts to become part of this process, in helping us out to identify and facilitate women led businesses to reach the GEA Project. Application can be made directly by businesses through the Application Form for Businesses, or through the women NGOs using Application form for organizations. The REC will only consider concepts prepared in full compliance with the attached formats. Submission of applications will be made electronically at the address: projects@recshqiperi.org.
