The situation of isolation and physical distancing due to Covid-19 has made it impossible to organize environmental days like other years. For this reason, on April 22, on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we announced the essay competition for young people, which enabled us to be close to young people and their ideas that promote climate action, as well as the theme of Earth Day 2020.

Today, on June 5, on World Environment Day, again in the impossibility of organizing and celebrating, we are announcing the winners of the competition, who could not all be present, due to the inability to travel to Tirana.

The winners were selected by combining the Facebook votes after their publication and also the evaluations of a panel by several young people. The winners of both awards are: Suela Koto, Silvana Mahmuti, Ornela Palaj, Griselda Filipaj, Kristina Armata and Sara Zeneli.

Thus, we were happy to welcome in our office Sara Zeneli, one of the winners of the competition. We thank all the young people who became part of this competition believing in a better future for the planet, nature and people.
