Through the project “Green Skills for Green Jobs in Albania” currently being implemented by REC Albania supported by the “GEAR-Green Economy for Regional Development” program by EDEN center, it is aimed to develop green skills and promote initiatives of “green jobs” among young people in vocational high schools in Albania.
In the framework of this project, REC held its first training session in Tirana with teachers of technical-electrical high school “Gjergj Canco”. This activity comes as a continuation of the activities of the previous ones organized for this project. The purpose of the teacher’s training for the teachers of this school, is the necessity of developing the concepts of green economy and its use in the direction of a sustainable development of the country, as well as developing green skills in the students of vocational schools. The teacher’s training serves as a preliminary session which will continue later on with the realization of open classes with students, focusing on green economy and fostering awareness among school students.
Following the second phase of the training, teachers will continue to implement several classes focusing on green economy and cultivating environmental awareness among students.
